Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a growing global health crisis that impacts millions worldwide, yet it remains underrepresented in global health discussions. To address this, the ISN, as a recognized NGO in official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO), will attend the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) with a clear objective: to elevate CKD as a global health priority.
The ISN's participation at UNGA 79 will include two-panel discussions and an exhibition that highlights the burden of kidney disease, utilizing data from the ISN-Global Kidney Health Atlas. These initiatives are designed to engage directly with policymakers, emphasizing the critical need to prioritize kidney health within global and national health policies. By driving awareness, advocating for early detection, and promoting integrated care models, the ISN aims to improve outcomes for those affected by CKD and ensure that kidney health becomes a central focus in the global health agenda.
